Welcome to my world!

Welcome to my world!  My name is Ann Cook, and I live in Brew City USA!  (Get it?)  Okay, so I  love puns (obviously), I love cooking,I love exploring new foods and I  love my little family of my husband & I (and the cat, soon to be cats).  And for those that have no idea, Brew City is a nickname for Milwaukee, WI.  We brew so much beer in this city that our baseball team is called the Brewers, and I can literally walk to a handful of breweries on a nice day if I wanted.  Here is one of my favorite pictures from the day I got my last name of Cook.

This blog concept started out a while ago.  I grew up a very picky eater, and was always eating good hearty meals (but not a lot of variety) of foods.  Then I moved away from home.  Then I met an amazing man named Mike.  Mike loves trying new foods and is an incredibly adventurous eater.  Well, needless to say since I've met Mike, I've expanded my pallet 10 folds.  Then my lovely family & friends would hear about the fun & exciting things we were making, and Id hear things like "That  looks awesome!" "I thought you could only get that as take out" "What in the world IS THAT?"   "Please show me how you make that!"

So, I've started my blog to mainly show my food adventures to share with others.  I do not claim to be a professional cook (well, I am a professional in my work world, and I do have the last name of Cook!)  I worked in a grocery store deli for a year and then a restaurant as a prep chef for 2 months.  So, I'm definitely a home cook, again, I will never claim to be a professional.  I also hope to share a few random quirky things too, because it wouldn't be me without that.  I do some crafts, but working full time I don't have time for much, but I'm certain they will sneak in here once & a while too.  There will also be cat pictures.  A lot of cat pictures.
